Petrichor Review

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

Each piece must be submitted individually. If you wish to submit more than one document, they must be submitted separately. Submissions containing more than one poem or story will be withdrawn unread.

Please do not include gratuitous formatting. Fiction should have one full line between paragraphs, no indentations, and one space between end-punctuation and the start of a new sentence. Art should be high quality (300dpi), with no editing or cropping necessary.

In your cover letter you can greet us, flatter us, promise us cake, but make sure you include a short bio (no more than 100 words); we don’t care where you’ve been published or where you went to school. We care about what you do outside of being a writer—your likes, dislikes, secret dreams, what you ate for breakfast. Check out our contributor bios for some idea of what we want. And do mention where you heard of us or why you think we’ll enjoy your work.

Simultaneous submissions are welcomed, but should be withdrawn immediately by the author or artist upon notice of acceptance elsewhere.

Previously published work is also welcome with permission of the orginal publisher. If your work has been published elsewhere please indicate this upon submitting, and include the publication's name, format, and the date you were published. We reserve the right to withdraw a previously published work if these details are not given.

While we encourage submitting more work even after rejection, we ask that all submitters refrain from submitting again for 2 months after receiving a rejection—unless otherwise noted.

Keep in mind that submitting to Petrichor Review implies an interest in the magazine, and anyone who submits will be added to our mailing list; you'll receive occasional updates about new content, issues, and calls for submissions. We never buy, sell, trade, or share your information with anyone. You may opt out of our mailing list at any time.
